Finding My Way Back to the Studio, and to You

The Art of Living

Over the past while, life has been very full, and my website quietly slipped into the background while I focused on community work, housing projects, and my ongoing sculpting journey.

I am happy to say that my online home is finally open again, and I am easing back into sharing my work, my process, and the stories behind the art.

In the studio, I have been spending time with my beloved horses in clay, exploring anatomy studies, quiet moments of connection, and pieces that honour the deep bond we share with the animals in our lives. Some of these works are part of an ongoing series about strength, tenderness, and resilience, themes that keep returning to me both in art and in everyday life.

Alongside my own practice, I remain deeply involved with the Ladysmith Arts Council, where we are working hard to grow arts programming, support local artists, and bring our community back into the beautifully restored Machine Shop arts hub. It is exciting to be part of shaping a creative space where many different voices and styles can belong.

Over the next while I will be updating galleries, sharing new works in progress, and adding more stories from the studio. Thank you for visiting, for your patience while I sort out the technical side of things, and for caring about art in this sometimes overwhelming world.

If you would like to follow along, please check back here from time to time, or reach out if a piece speaks to you. Your presence truly matters. Always in Art and in Friendship, Lorna
